Are you planning to drive to Portugal and unsure how to pay electronic tolls? In this guide, we'll explain how to pay tolls and avoid getting a fine.

If you've driven to Portugal by car before, you've likely encountered electronic tolls, where your license plate is recorded, and you don't have to wait in line to pay the toll. To make this payment, it's necessary to register your license plate on the following page.

There are 4 options:

1. EasyToll: This is the option we have used, where you simply enter your car's license plate and your credit/debit card, and you're done. This option is valid for 30 days.

2. TollCard: Similar to the previous option, but instead of linking a credit/debit card, you purchase a prepaid card. The balance is valid for 1 year. You can find more information on how to purchase the card on the following page.

Afterward, you have the option to buy virtual cards for 3 days or multiple trips.
